Safety practices
Flammables and pressurized items, GFCI protection for the heater, fire sprinklers and alarms, and keeping people and pets out of the treatment area while it heats.
Heat, air and time.
Every step above comes back to these. Get them right and heat kills bed bugs at every life stage, including eggs.
Generate heat
Electric heaters raise the room air to 60 °C (140 °F). That setting runs hotter than the target so the coldest spots still get there.
Move the air
High-temperature fans push hot air along the walls and into cracks, furniture and closets, so the whole room heats evenly.
Hold it long enough
Wireless sensors confirm every surface stays above 50 °C (122 °F) for at least 3 hours. We recommend 8–10 hours per room, setup to cool-down.
